What Are Enzyme Cleaners? Enzyme-based cleaners work by introducing beneficial microorganisms that produce specific enzymes — biological catalysts that break down organic compounds. For turf, the relevant compounds are: - Uric acid (from pet urine) - Ammonia (from urea breakdown) - Sulfur compounds (from fecal matter) - Organic biofilm (bacterial colonies in the infill)
The enzymes don't mask these compounds — they literally consume them and convert them to water and CO₂. Once the reaction is complete, the enzymes die off naturally. There's nothing left on your turf.
What We Don't Use: - No bleach or bleach-based disinfectants (these break down synthetic fiber and fade colors) - No formaldehyde or harsh industrial solvents - No artificial fragrance (masking = not actually clean) - No ammonia-based cleaners (counterproductive for pet odor)
